Ed Hudson started the Hudson Corp. of Texas in 1947.  Hudson was orginally a fabricator of large swimming pool filters, community water filters and commercial ion exchange systems to treat water for boiler applications.  Old time customers are names you are sure to recognize, include Lone Star Brewery, Butter Krust Bakeries, Pearl Brewery, Brooks AFB, and many more.  The tank fabrication shop at the original Hudson location at Hoefgen Street was cut off when I37/281 South was routed through downtown San Antonio.

In 1974, Dave Wallace, a former engineer with the San Antonio River Authority, purchased Hudson Corp. from Ed Hudson.   Dave Wallace, a registered engineer in several states, grew Hudson to be a well recognized and quality supplier of water systems.  Customers and projects included commercial laundries, military base installations for dorms and hospitals, large hotels, Levi Straus, hospitals and medical centers, and many more installations.  Dave Wallace is still active as an engineer and consultant to Hudson.

Presently, Betsy Hoffman owns and operates the company.  Betsy has competent help from Rocky Hoffman and David Wallace Jr.  Rocky has been in the water business for over 30 years, and has a wealth of knowledge about water treatment and equipment applications.  David Wallace Jr. has been in the business for 24+ years, and also with tremendous knowledge about water softeners and filters.   With their combined knowledge and that of their licensed technicians, Hudson Water capably works with many hotels, hospitals, restaurants, schools, and many other business who need quality water.
